Linda M Hutchison

Linda Marie Hutchison (LaPage), a woman defined by her profound kindness, boundless compassion, and immense generosity, passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on December 10, 1950, Linda spent her life quietly lifting up those around her and pouring her heart into her family. Just two days prior to her passing, she and her devoted husband, Gregory, celebrated an incredible milestone of 58 years of marriage together.

To Linda, family was everything. While she was never naturally drawn to sports, her deep love for her sons changed that completely in the 1980s. Wanting to share in their excitement as they began playing, she jumped headfirst into football, quickly becoming a passionate Chicago Bears fan. She spent decades watching the games alongside her boys, famously cheering on her favorite player, Walter Payton—whom she affectionately dubbed "Wally." Her family will forever cherish the memory of her shouting at the television with absolute devotion, "Come on Wally, you can score!"

Her generous spirit, compassionate heart, and legacy of love live on through the beautiful family she leaves behind. Along with her beloved husband, Gregory, she is survived by her sons, Timothy (and his wife, Wendy) and John (and his wife, Lori); her cherished grandchildren, Melinda, Tyler, Blake, and Aubrey; and her precious great-granddaughter, Ariya. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Robert (and his wife Janie), David, Laura (and her husband, Sam), and Catherine, along with many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her.

Linda was predeceased by her father & mother, Archie & Marie LaPage, her brother Edwin and sister Carmel.

A visitation will be held at 9:30 AM on Monday, July 27th, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Church, located at 301 N. 4th Street, Oregon, IL 61061. Following the service, a procession will lead to Plainview Cemetery in Mt. Morris, IL, where Linda will be laid to rest.
