b. June 5, 1941

Leaf River, IL, Larry R. Heidenreich, age 77, was reunited with his beloved wife, Dana on October 29, 2018 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL after a long hard battle with Alzheimer's disease. Larry was born on June 5, 1941 in Freeport, IL, the son of Ralph & Irene (Dietrich) Heidenreich. He grew up in Freeport and moved to Leaf River where he graduated from Leaf River High School in 1959. Larry married Dana Satterfield on September 14, 1963 in Leaf River, IL and she preceded him in death on August 2, 2017. Larry worked at the Chrysler Assembly plant in Belvidere, IL for over 30 years. Larry was an avid runner, where he completed the Rockford marathon twice, he loved animals (Especially cats), which the family always had one special cat. Larry travelled with Dana, and their favorite trips were the Alaskan cruise, Aruba, Key west, FL, and many times to the beaches in South Carolina. Larry is survived by sons: Kevin (Special Friend: Jennifer Heinze) Heidenreich, Mt. Morris, IL and Nick Heidenreich, Leaf River, IL; grandchildren: Andrew Heidenreich, Jared Diddens, Allissa Diddens, Celena Josephitis, and Anthony Josephitis; brothers: Ron (Eleanor) Heidenreich, Bob (Karen) Borneman, and Bill (Patti) Borneman; brother in laws: Steve (Jo) Satterfield and John(Ann) Satterfield; sister in law: Tonda (Steve) Wiker. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Dana; infant daughter; and his in laws. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Rodney Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in Lightsville Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 7, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Pinecrest Terrace. The family thanks the staff at Pinecrest Terrace for the extraordinary care given to our father. Special thanks to Kinnedy Poff, Leslie Neuschwanger, and Megan Huckabee. The family also thanks Serenity Hospice and Home.
