Larry was born January 17, 1947, in Dixon, IL the son of William & Maxine (Finkle) Engel. Larry was a commercial roofer through Local 11, out of Westchester, IL. He lived in Elgin most of his adult life, moving there from Leaf River, IL. Larry was a member of United Union of Roofers Waterproofers & Allied Workers Local 11. Larry is survived by 3 Daughters: Angela (Sean) Barry; Megan Engel; Janie (Steve) Boyer; Son: Tim Engel; 4 Grandchildren: Jack & Bridget Barry; Daniel & Jeffrey Boyer.2 Brothers: Tom (Mary) Engel and Jim (Vicky) Engel; 3 sisters: Karen McKinley; Charolett (Ron) Young; Melody Engel. Larry is preceded in death by Parents; Wife Sally Boyle; 2 Brothers: Bill and Teddy Engel. Funeral Services will be Saturday May 19, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL, with Rev. Michael Hoffman. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Polo, IL. Visitation will be Saturday May 19, 2012 from 12:30 P.M. till service time in the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorials to be established.
