Kenny Allen Maxwell, age 76, passed away at his home in Oregon, il on September 6, 2026. Born January 9, 1950 in Morrilton, AR to Bernice and James Maxwell, he experienced a rich and full life. He graduated from leaf river high school in 1968 and joined the Army. Upon his return home, he went on the become one the most familiar faces in Oregon. First as a phone technician. He installed most of the landlines in this county. Then he spent a few years as a police officer for ogle county. He also sang in 3 different bands and was a staple at karaoke. His passion for music was shared with everyone. He joined the oregon fire dept in .... and retired as an assistant chief in ..... he spent many years as a volunteer EMT, bartender at the Well, coached boys baseball and coed softball and in his later years he was the friendly, smiling face who kept the score board for so many of oregons sports games. Kenny always had a smile and an ear for everyone he met. Diehard, life long St Louis cardinal and Dallas cowboys fan. Win or lose, he stood by his teams.
He is survived by his daughter Amanda (mandi), sons Mark (heather) Maxwell, and Adam (sheri) Maxwell. grandchildren Alyssabeth (damien) Presthus, Rachel (drew) Milton, Caleb and Ethan Scaman, Abigail, Andrew, Amelia, Elias and lily Maxwell. Great grandchildren Marley, Milo, and Emilia. His brother Barry (michelle) Maxwell and sister Janet (brian) Cunningham. Nephews, Travis (allyson) and Jacob Cunningham and Seth Maxwell. And many, many "adopted" children and grandchildren. Kenny had a huge heart and open arms for anyone. Family was everything to him. And he considered alot of people family.
He was met on his way to his next journey by his parents and his brother Randy.
Services for kenny will be at the moose lodge in mt Morris, il on Friday September 11 from 4 pm to 8 pm.
