Oregon, IL - Kenneth M. Gearhart, 95, died February 18, 2010 in CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL. Born September 2, 1914 in Grand Detour Twp., the son of John Rowland and Mabel Jane (Davis) Gearhart. He graduated from Oregon High School. He married Margaret Wilde on November 28, 1939 in Iowa. He owned and operated his own auto repair shop. Kenneth and his wife owned and trained harness horses. He retired in 1980. He is a lifetime Oregon/Mt. Morris resident. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He is a lifetime member of the VFW, Oregon, IL. He is survived by his wife, a nephew; Ron Colson, Oregon, IL; special friend, Jerry Sepesy. Predeceased by his parents and a sister, Mary Colson. Arrangements will be at a later date. Finch Funeral Home is assisting the family.
