Kathryn A Giblin

Mt. Morris, IL, Kathryn Ann Giblin, age 89, died on Thursday February 11, 2016 in KSB Hospital, Dixon, IL. Kathryn was born on January 8, 1927 Harmon, IL the daughter of Emmett & Gladys (Green) Giblin. She graduated from Newman Catholic High School class of 1944. Kathryn married Robert Slater on July 24, 1944; he preceded her in death on September 29, 1971 and then she married Smokey Drumheller and he preceded her in death. She worked for Kable Printing Company in Accounting Department until the strike, then she worked for the State of Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles. She loved to read, crossword puzzles, and most of all loved her family times. Kathryn is survived by her children: Dianne (Dale) Slater, Mayville, WI, Rita (Jim) Hermes, Oregon, IL, Kay (Terry) Mageland, Janesville, WI, Nancy (Perry) Sommer, Rochelle, IL, Bob (Pam) Slater, McHenry, IL, Marilyn Robinson, Summerfield, FL, Jim (Char) Slater, Fairbanks, AK, Ron (Roxanne) Slater, Fairbanks, AK, Jerry Slater, Racine, WI, Theresa (Dave) Smith, Toronto, ON; 38 Grandchildren; 61 Great-Grandchildren; 8 Great Great- Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Paul Giblin, Amboy, IL. Kathryn is preceded in death by Parents; Children: Ginger Britz, Paula McCarns; Granddaughter: Roxanne Fossett Johnson; 3 Brothers: Jack, Jim, and Bill Giblin; 2 Sisters: Rita Giblin and Mary Jean Hartman. Memorial Mass in St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon, IL will be held Saturday February 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Joseph Naill officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday February 20, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until Mass in St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon, IL. In Lieu of flowers memorials to American Cancer Society. Funeral Luncheon will be held following the service in the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge, Mt. Morris, IL.
