Katherine was born September 14, 1919 in Galt, IL, the daughter of John & Nellie (Killeen) Regan. She graduated from St. Mary's High School, Sterling, IL the class of 1937, she graduated Nurse's training in 1940 from Sterling Public Hospital. Katherine married Kenneth L. Miller, January 17, 1942 in St. Mary's Rectory, Sterling, IL. Katherine was a nurse and a homemaker, as she and her husband were farmers in the Sterling and Mt. Morris area. She has been in the Mt. Morris area since 1960. She attended Mt. Morris Church of the Brethren, and she was an avid reader and card player. Katherine is survived by sons: David Miller, Whitehall, MT ; Richard Miller, Oregon, IL ; Kevin Miller, Oregon, IL ; Jeffrey (Beatrice) Miller, Rockford, IL ; Daughters: Joyce (Irvin) Toms, Mt. Morris, IL; Barbara Ruther, Mt. Morris, IL . Grandchildren: Angie (Eric) Dantz, Santee, CA; Todd (Maria) Miller, San Diego, CA; Andrea Hurd, Byron,IL; Michelle (Brad) Orsted, Mt. Morris, IL; Josh Miller, AZ and George Miller, Rockford, IL. Great Grandchildren: Jessie and Bobby Dantz; Gabriella and Alexander Miller; Connor Hurd, CJ and Brian Ostrander, Addison Orsted. She is preceded in death by her Husband: Kenneth; infant daughter, Lynn; 3 brothers; and 1 sister. Memorial services will be Saturday February 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in Mt. Morris Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Virginia Haney officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be February 11, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. till service time in the Church. Memorials to Serenity Hospice and Home and/or Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home.
