Mount Morris, IL - Karl S. Cox, 72, of Mount Morris died March 15, 2010, in his home. Born Aug. 29, 1937, in Polo; the son of Henry and Opal Mae (Pearce) Cox. Married Sharon Wagaman on Feb. 21, 1958, in Oregon. Karl was a machinist, retiring in 1985. He served in the U.S. Army. Graduated from Polo High School, Class of 1955. Survived by wife, Sharon of Mount Morris; sons, Randy (Melinda) Cox, Jeff (Peg) Cox and Mike (Sheila) Cox, all of Mount Morris; daughter, Jolene (Lee) Turner of Waukesha, Wis.; grandchildren, Marc Cox of Sycamore, Allie, Maddie and Sam Turner of Waukesha, Wis., Miranda and Travis Cox of Forreston, Jacob Cox and Zac Cox of Mount Morris; and brother, the Rev. Monte (Carol) Cox of Polo. Predeceased by his parents, and grandson, Landon Turner. Service at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 18, in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt St., Mount Morris, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time; the Rev. David Demmer will officiate. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Polo. Memorials to Ogle County Hospice and/or Disabled Veterans. Arrangements by Finch Funeral Home.
