Mt. Morris, IL, Karen Sue Sommer, age 60, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to many, of Mt. Morris, IL died Monday May 13, 2013 in Rush Hospital, Chicago, IL. Karen was born November 9, 1952 in Oregon, IL in the Warmolts Clinic the daughter of Lawrence & Lorretta (Jones) Wolfe. Karen's father preceded her in death. She attended Oregon High School. Karen married Ronald E. Sommer on April 4, 2007 in Oregon, IL. Karen was a buffer for Quality Metal in Byron, IL for 27 years. She is a lifetime Mt. Morris area resident. Karen lived life to the fullest; she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and loving her dog, Millie and her cats. Karen was an avid card player and she loved to dance, ride the motorcycle, fish, and use the metal detector. Karen also collected Indian relics. Karen is survived by her Mother, Sue Wolfe, Oregon, IL; Husband Ronald Sommer, Mt. Morris, IL; Daughter: Margarita Arellano, Naperville, IL; Son: Rodolfo Arellano, Mt. Morris, IL; Step-Daughters: Jennifer Sommer, Loves Park, IL and Jyleen Sommer, Leaf River, IL. Grandchildren: Morgan and Immanuel Arellano, Mt. Morris, IL. Step-Grandchildren: Sydne Robinson, Mt. Morris, IL and Tylor and Molly Sommer, Loves Park, IL. 2 Sisters: Joyce (Jeff) Jones, Oregon, IL; Janet (John) Blumeyer, Oregon, IL. 2 Brothers: Ken (Joanne) Wolfe, Oregon, IL and Keith (Bridget) Wolfe, Oregon, IL. Nephews: Ken Wolfe Jr., Russell Schier and Michael Jones all of Oregon, IL. Nieces: Cristy Williams; Sasha, Kelsey, and Megan Wolfe, Amanda Jones, Jeneen Schier all of Oregon, IL. Many Great Nieces and Nephews, and one Great Great Niece. Karen is preceded in death by her Father: Lawrence and Step-Son: Brian Sommer. Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Memorial service will be Saturday May 25, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in West Branch Church of The Brethren with Rev. Richard Bright officiating. Memorials to be determined.
