Highlands Ranch, CO Karen M. Huizenga, age 66, formerly of Mt. Morris, IL, died March 13, 2012, in Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, CO. Karen was born February 13, 1946 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Bert & Edith (Jaeger) Anderson. Karen graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1964, she then graduated from Blackburn College receiving a BA in English, and Northern Illinois Law School. Karen married Paul D. Huizenga on October 26, 1968 in Mt. Morris, IL. She worked as a senior attorney at Mid-American Energy, retiring in 2008. Karen is survived by husband: Paul Huizenga, Highlands Ranch, CO; daughter: Nicole M. (John) May, Golden, CO; 2 grandchildren: Zachary and Natalie May, Golden, CO; brother: Erik (Reta) Anderson, Byron, IL. Her Parents preceded her in death. Services will be Wednesday March 21, 2012 in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL, at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Frank Lay Officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday March 21, 2012 at 12:00 P.M. till service time in Finch Funeral Home. Memorials to be determined.
