Mt. Morris, IL - Julian Edward Brevig, 79, died Sept. 6, 2009, at SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born Sept. 10, 1929, in Superior, Wis., the son of Edward and Julia (Anderson) Brevig. Married Donna (Rowe) on March 7, 1959, in Sheboygan, Wis. Worked in the pressroom at Kable Printing, retiring in 1995. Lived in Mount Morris since 1947, moving from Solon Springs, Wis. Member of GCIU Printing and a life member of Mount Morris Moose Lodge No. 1551. He enjoyed gardening and traveling Mount Morris on his scooter. Survived by wife, Donna; sons, Doug Brevig of Polo and Dan Brevig of Phoenix; granddaughters, Ashley Brevig of Dixon, Ariel Brevig of Holbrook, Ariz., and Taylor and Tatum of Phoenix; and sister, Ellen (Bob) Pudas of Altadena, Calif. Predeceased by parents; brothers, Harry and Trix Brevig and Elden Smith; and sister, Esther Knoll. Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, in Finch Funeral Home, with visitation from 10 a.m. to time of service; the Rev. Richard Bright will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mooseheart.
