Judy M Raney

Mt. Morris, IL, Judy Mae Raney, age 81, of Mt. Morris, IL passed suddenly on October 10, 2026 in her home. She was born in Freeport, IL on November 28, 1944 the daughter of Clem & France (Frasen) Bauer. She graduated from Leaf River High School, Leaf River, IL. Judy married Darrell F. Raney on November 2, 1963 and they have been married for 63 years.

In her younger years she worked at Kable News Company, Mt. Morris, IL; and later she helped with the phones for Dan’s Auto and did bookwork for the family farm. She loved taking care of her cats on the farm, spending her days with her grand puppy’s; Sadie and Sienna.

Judy was a loving wife and mother and was cherished by her family. She is survived by her husband: Darrell Raney, Mt. Morris, IL; son: Dan Raney, Mt. Morris, IL; brothers: Jerry (Madeline) Bauer, Stockton, IL and Jim (Becky) Bauer, Freeport, IL; many nieces and nephews; and her special friend: Nancy Wheeler.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Clem & Frances Bauer, husband’s parents: Jesse & Mildred Raney.

A graveside service will be held on Friday October 16, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL; with Pastor Bruce McKanna officiating.

The family sincerely thanks all of those who were part of Judy’s life.

She was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
