Judy Barnhart

Judy Barnhart, age 79, died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at OSF Hospital in Rockford, IL.  Judy was born December 12, 1942 in Oregon, IL the daughter of Wilbur and Ida (Kump) Sweeney.

Judy attended Mt. Morris Schools and received her GED in 1973.  She went on to nursing school and completed her LPN program in 1982.

She was employed at Pinecrest Nursing Home (CNA and LPN) for 26 years and retired in 1999.  She married in 1959 and gave birth to three children.

Judy is survived by her children:  Kathy (Tom) Lee, Mt. Morris, IL and Randy (Sheri) Barnhart, Mt. Morris, IL.  3 grandchildren:  Joshua (Angelica) Lee, Jacob Lee, and Thomas (Jessica) Lee. Also, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.  2 Brothers:  Gene Sweeney, Beloit, WI and Dave Sweeney, Lake Carroll, IL.  1 sister:  Pat Burd, Mt. Morris, IL.

Judy is preceded in death by her mother Ida in 1989, father Wilbur in 1994, and daughter Rhonda in 1972.  Also, a sister Joyce Shelton, sister-in-law Julie Sweeney, and brother Richard Sweeney.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Evangelical Free Church, Mt. Morris, IL with luncheon to follow.
