Rockford, IL, Judith “Judy” M. Hunter, age 78, passed away on September 8, 2024 in her home. Judy was born on January 19, 1946 in Rockford, IL; the daughter of Kenneth & Rose (Asche) Schrader. Judy worked at Kable News Company in Mt. Morris, IL, where she met many people whom became her friends.
Judy was an avid reader, enjoying a variety of books from many different authors. She was a great cook and enjoyed making a big feast; you never left her table hungry. Judy enjoyed being with family; especially the many Saturdays she spent with her mom and sisters, playing games & cards; and she loved to win.
The 4th of July was her favorite holiday; and was proud of all the service men and women who served this country. One being her brother, who served in the Navy. She took pride in being the oldest child, so she could look after her 3 younger siblings; whom will miss her dearly.
Judy is survived by her husband: Terry Hunter; step-children: Alexus and Anthony Hunter; brother: Jim (Ellen) Schrader; sisters: Joanne (Paul “Redneck”) Bral and Jill (Larry) Branscomb; special aunt: Irene (TT); and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
