Mt. Morris, IL, Joyce Ann (Cain) Stauffer, age 54, passed away suddenly on January 1, 2018. Joyce was born on April 25, 1963 in Oregon, IL the daughter of Raymond & Shirley (Buhs) Cain, and her mother preceded her in death. She grew up on her family's dairy farm in Mt. Morris. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1981, Highland Community College in 1984, she attended NIU, and graduated from Kishwaukee Community College from the CNA program. Joyce married Ronald Stauffer in December 1990. Joyce was a world traveler, living in Australia where she worked as a nanny after high school. Joyce worked as a dispatcher for the Mt. Morris Police Station, Alpha Omega until it's closing, and currently she was with Pinecrest Manor as a CNA. Joyce is survived by her husband: Ron Stauffer, Polo, IL; daughter: Elizabeth Stauffer, Polo, IL; brothers: Gary (June) Cain, Pecatonica, IL, Tom (Maureen) Cain, Pecatonica, Michael (Linda) Cain, Mt. Morris, IL; sisters: Jean (John) Springer, Polo, IL, Julie (Terry) Crum, Broadhead, WI; 15 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews; father: Raymond Cain, Rockford, IL. Joyce is preceded in death by her mother: Shirley (Cain) Cahoy, grandparents: Bill & Ida Cain, and Andrew & Mary Buhs whom she cared for in their later years. Memorial service will be held Friday January 5, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. David Coke officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until service time in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials to be determined.
