Jerry D Macklin

Mt. Morris, IL, Jerry D. Macklin, age 81, died on Friday October 28, 2016 in her home. Jerry was born on August 1, 1935 in Macon, MS the daughter of George & Vera (Slawson) Finch. Jerry married Kenneth C. Macklin on June 15, 1955 in Macon, MS. Jerry worked as a certified nurses aide with Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL retiring in 2015 after 38 years at the age of 80. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable garden, Saturday morning family breakfast, and her job at Pinecrest. Jerry is survived by her husband: Kenneth C. Macklin, Mt. Morris, IL; son: Randy (Donna) Macklin, Rock City, IL; 3 daughters: Cindy (Mikkel) Mann, Byron, IL, Pat (Gregg) Bernhard, Byron, IL, and Barb (Mike) McGuire, Oregon, IL; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, and 2 sisters Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Memorial service will be held Sunday November 6, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren, with Rev. Virginia Haney officiating. There will be a private family burial at a later time. Memorials to the St. Jude and/or Rockford rescue Mission.
