Mt. Morris, IL, Jerry R. Leekley, age 55, died suddenly Tuesday March 14, 2017 in his home. Jerry was born November 6, 1961 in Rockford, IL the son of Robert & Pauline (Leonard) Leekley. Jerry graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1980. Jerry loved his hometown, he was an usher at the Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren, and he loved to work at Loaves and Fish Food Pantry. Jerry is survived by his sister: Linda (Russell) Grover, Rockford, IL; nephew: Isaac Grover, Rockford, IL. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held on March 25, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in The Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren, with Rev. Virginia Haney officiating. Burial will be a private family burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be held on March 25, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until service time in The Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren. Memorials to Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren and/or Loaves and Fish Food Pantry.
