Jean L Pittman

Mt. Morris, IL, Jean L. Pittman, age 82,was born March 23, 1931 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Edward L. & Lucille V. (Schelling) Stengel. Jean attended Coon Creek Elementary School, graduated from Mt. Morris High School, and she studied Medical Office Procedures, at Ventura College, Ventura, CA. Jean married Joseph H. Fay, November 1951 in Ojai, CA, and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1999. Jean then married Paul Pittman, January 1969, in Ojai, CA, and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1981. She was a CNA serving as a private duty nurse in the Santa Barbara and Ojai CA area for 30 years. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Forreston, IL. As a youngster she was active in 4-H Club. Jean trained and exhibited Welsh Ponies and American Saddle Bred Horses. She was a member of the American Horse Show Association, the California Welsh Pony Association, and she served on the Board of the Santa Barbara Riding Club. Jean also was an active member of the Santa Barbara Community Arts Association. Jean is survived by her Children: Michael (Carol) Fay, Santa Barbara, CA, Brian (Carla) Fay, Santa Barbara, CA, Stephen (Christina) Fay, Oro Valley, AZ, Martin (Judy) Fay, Santa Barbara, CA, Monica (Terrie Booten) Fay, La Grange, CA, Maureen (Joseph) Harake, Mission Viejo, CA, Madeline (Mary Anne Morgan) Fay, Arroyo Grande, CA, and Theresa (Wayne) Stelly. Santa Barbara, CA. Grandchildren: Danielle, Jacqueline, and Michelle Harake, Mission Viejo, CA, Patrick and Megan Fay, Santa Barbara, CA, Alana and Marisa Stelly, Santa Barbara, CA, Tori and Marina Fay, Santa Barbara, CA, Kiera and Maria Fay, Oro Valley, AZ, and Rafaela Fay, Santa Barbara, CA. Sisters: Joyce Salter, Polo, IL and Janet Meadows, Loveland, CO. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Both Husbands, and Brother Joseph Stengel. Memorial services will be June 29, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in St. James Lutheran Church, Forreston, IL with Rev. Steven Erickson officiating. Burial will be in West Grove Cemetery, Forreston, IL. Memorials may be made to Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home and/or St. James Lutheran Church
