She was born November 10, 1921 in Rochelle, IL the daughter of Jesse & Olive (Middlekauf) Smith. Jean graduated from Mt. Morris High School Class of 1940. She married Donald Dusing September 26, 1944 in Mt. Morris, IL. Jean worked in the advertising department at Watt Publishing, Mt. Morris, IL, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Eastern Star and VFW Ladies Auxillary. Jean is survived by her husband, Donald Dusing, Mt. Morris, IL; Son, Michael (Mary Jo) Dusing, Byron, IL; Daughter, Julie (David C.) Sweeney, Lena, IL. 8 Grandchildren: Kraig Sweeney, Lewistown, Montana; Michelle (Ken) Bechtold, Freeport, Illinois; Marci Loven, Egan, Illinois; Chad (Melissa) Sweeney, Friendship, Wisconsin; Dianna (Seth) Newton, Byron, Illinois; Danielle (Tchevy) Olson, Stacy, Minnesota; David (Maddie) Dusing, Rockford, Illinois; Matthew (Noel) Dusing, Mt. Morris, Illinois. 15 Great-Grandchildren. Brother: Don Smith, State College, PA. She is preceded in death by Parents. Memorial Service will be Wednesday March 23, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Steven Erickson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday March 23, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. till service time in Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL.
