Jay Douglas Diehl

Oregon, IL, Jay Douglas Diehl, age 43, formerly of Mt. Morris, IL, died unexpectedly Sunday June 5, 2016 in his home in Oregon, IL. Jay was born October 20, 1972 in Rockford, IL the son of Danny & Georgia (Ray) Diehl. Jay graduated from Northwestern military and Naval Academy in 1991 and went on and attended VMI in Lexington, VA. Jay moved to North Carolina in 1993 and worked for CMI Contracting in Monroe, NC. Jay moved back to Illinois in 2001, where he worked for Rockford Blacktop in Rockford, IL. Jay is survived by his daughters: Alexa Diehl, Monroe, NC and Alyssa Huls, Loves Park, IL; mother: Georgia; brother: Danny; grandfather: Robert; uncle: Dave (Sue); 2 nephews and numerous cousins. Jay is preceded in death by his father: Danny Sr.; grandparents: Grace Diehl and George & Marjorie Ray. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
