Janice V Davidson

Janice V. Davidson, 98, of Mt. Morris, passed away June 2, 2015 at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home in Mt. Morris. She was born February 23, 1917 in Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of William Henry and Ethel (Paschal) Barber. She married Robert Edwin Davidson on July 4, 1935 in Anderson, Indiana, he preceded her in death. Janice came to Mt. Morris from Springfield, Ohio in January of 1957. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Janice graduated from Springfield High School in 1935. She worked at McGregor's Subscription Agency for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Mary Catherine (Carrick) Davidson, one half-brother, Maurice Barber, two half-sisters, Jane (Arnold) and Jean (McBride) Barber. She is survived by three sons; Dr. Robert E. (Hilde) Davidson, of Alpena, Michigan, William E. (Sara) Davidson of Greenville, Illinois and Barron E. (Jill) Davidson of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great- grandchildren, and one step-sister Catherine Barber Fruchte. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on June 13, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mt. Morris. Pastor Josh Ehrler officiating. Janice requested no flowers, and memorials may be made to Pinecrest Community, Trinity Lutheran Church, and Ogle County Hospice. Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, assisted with arrangements.
