Byron, IL, Janet L. Sabin, age 70, passed away on January 11, 2019 in Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, IL with her family by her side. Janet was born July 1, 1948 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Gene N. & Myrl K. (Heydt) Sabin. Janet worked for Indian Village Restaurant, sold Avon, and was a crossing guard for the city of Byron. She loved kids and her cats & Dogs. Janet is survived by her sister: Sharon (Alan) Schabacker; nephews: Mike (Tracy) Schabacker and Matt (Danielle) Schabacker; nieces: Cindy (Brian) Leden and Emily (Dan) Smeltzer; great nephews and niece: Connor and Evan Leden, Daniel, Jason, Malcolm, and Meredith Smeltzer. She is preceded in death by her parents; niece: Amy Lyn Schabacker. Memorial services will be held on Saturday January 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in All Saints Lutheran Church, Byron, IL with Rev. Janet Wold officiating. Burial will be in Byron City Cemetery, Byron, IL. Visitation will be held on Saturday January 19, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in the church.
