Mount Morris, IL - Jane F. Van Degraft, 67, died Saturday, July 3, 2010, in Swedish American Hospital, Rockford. Jane was born March 9, 1943, in Spring Valley to Thomas "Sal" and Ruth (Newman) Segatta. Jane graduated from Hall High School, Class of 1961, and from LaSalle-Peru Oglesby Jr. College, Class of 1963. She married Loren Van Degraft on June 7, 1965, in Spring Valley. Jane lived in the Byron-Mount Morris area since 1975, moving from Lincoln. She was a real estate broker manager for Whitehead Realty. Jane was previously employed with Gambino and Century 21 Country North. She was a member of the Rockford Area Association of Realtors. Survivors include her husband, Loren Van Degraft of Byron; son, Chris Van Degraft of Aurora; daughters, Karen (David) Gustafson of Joliet and Jenny (Reggie) Norfleet of Plano; grandchildren, Alycia Van Degraft of Aurora, Kayla, Scott, Tom Gustafson of Joliet, McKenzie and Alexander Norfleet of Plano; and brother, Joe Segatta of Akron, Ohio. Jane is preceded in death by her parents. Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, in Immaculate Conception Church, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Robert Stilman officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, in Finch Funeral Home, 405 E. Hitt St., Mount Morris. Visitation also from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, with prayers at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Spring Valley. Memorials to be established.
