James P Wean Sr.

Rockford, IL, James P. Wean Sr., age 80, passed away on Sunday August 14, 2022, in his home in Rockford, IL.  Jim was born on December 6, 1941 in Elmhurst, IL the son of Charles R. & Dorothy E. (Beutjer) Wean Sr.   He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1959.  Jim enter the US Navy in August 1959 and retired from the service in June 1965; while in the Navy he was trained as a Computer Analyst.

Jim enjoyed sports; where he coached football, basketball, and baseball, he loved Nascar, the Cubs and the Bears.

Jim is survived by his wife: Linda Wean, Rockford, IL; brother: Doug (Vicki) Wean, Oregon, IL; children: James Wean Jr., Oklahoma City, OK; John (Dawn) Wean, Huntley, IL; and Aaron Wean, Nashville, TN; step-children: Stephanie (Dan) Monigold, LeRoy, IL and Christian (Shannon) Wilhelms, Waukasha, WI; grandchildren: Adeline (Oliver) Asturias, Deshea Wilhelms, Kyria Wilhelms, Lily Monigold, Zac Wean, Ben Wean; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Joyce Wean; and brother: Charles Wean.

Graveside services will be held at a later.
