Shannon, IL; James A. Burd, age 63, formerly of Mt. Morris, IL died March 28, 2012 in his home. James was born July, 3, 1948, in Rockford, IL the son of Allen E. & Patricia M. (Sweeney) Burd. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1967. James was a cement mason, owning and operating his own business, retiring August 24, 1995. He lived in Watertown, WI before returning to Shannon, IL. James is survived by his Mother: Patricia Burd, Mt. Morris, IL; Son: James Burd, Oconomowoc,Wi; Daughter: Jackie Burd, Watertown, WI; and their mother: Diane Burd, Oconomowoc, WI; Grandchildren: Chelsie Hill, Jacob Trodeau, Jodie Hansen, James D. Burd, Jordan Burd; Brother: Michael (Ann) Burd, Shannon, IL; Sisters: Sherry (Dana) Krull, Leesburg, IN, Vicki (Rick) Whitlock, Glen Haven, CO. He is preceded in death by Father. Funeral service will be Saturday March 31, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt Street, Mt. Morris, IL, 61054, with Rev. Doc Newcomb officiating. Burial will in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be Saturday March 31, 2012 from 12:00 P.M. till service time in the funeral home. Memorials to Pegasus Special Riders.
