Jadzia Filipowicz

Jadwiga Filipowicz, age 69, of Mount Morris Illinois, formerly of Chicago Illinois, died Wednesday July 29th, 2020 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Konskie Poland February 13th 1951 and came to this country in 1963. She is the daughter of Valentine and Halena Filipowicz. She is a graduate of Carl Schurz High School in Chicago Illinois.

Jadwiga known as Jadzia by her family and friends was an avid gardener and loved anything to do with plants. She had a green thumb and the ability to grow anything. She also loved Crocheting and was always making something for friends, family and people in the community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Casey and Les and her sister Wanda.

Funeral services will be held Monday August 3, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt St., Mount Morris, IL.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mount Morris IL.  Visitation will be on Monday August 3, 2020 from 9:30 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home.
