Mt. Morris, IL, Jackie (Jack) R. Riegel, age 82, passed away in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL with his family by his side. Jackie was born on June 18, 1935 in Braymer, MO the son of George & Hazel (Stuckey) Riegel. Jackie graduated from Braymer High school, Louisiana Missionary Baptist Seminary and Oklahoma Missionary Baptist Seminary. Jackie married Phillis Klamm on June 22, 1956 in Bonner Springs, KS. Jackie was a Baptist Minister and pastored for churches in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Illinois and was with the Missionary Baptist (ABA) Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Morris, IL. Jackie is survived by his 2 children: Gerda (Dave) Clark, Mt. Morris, IL and Andrew Riegel, Mt. Morris, IL; 5 grandchildren: Ryan Riegel, Joshua Riegel, and Melissa (Brian) Morton all of Texas, Jeremy (Kylee) Pennington, and Zachery (Heather) Pennington both of Mt. Morris, IL; and 9 great grandchildren: Bryce, Gavin, Christian, Jenna, Seven, Corbin, Madison, Lincoln, and Landry; special friend: Betty Roberts. Jackie is preceded in death by his parents, wife: Phillis; son: George (Joe) A. Riegel, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Memorial service will be held on Friday June 8, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Bruce McKanna officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday June 8, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in the Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church. In lieu of flowers memorials to Pinecrest Manor nursing Home, Serenity Hospice and Home, and/or Evangelical Free Church.
