Harlan D Long

Polo, IL, Harlan D. Long, age 83, passed away on Thursday August 13, 2026 in Allure of Pinecrest, Mt. Morris, IL 61054. Harlan was born on August 22, 1942 in Oregon, IL, the son of Eber U & Martha L (Coffman) Long. Harlan graduated from Polo High School class of 1960.

Harlan enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, mystery novels, he was the family historian remembering all about the family history, he grew up on a farm, he did attend the Village of Progress working there for many years, was a member of West Branch of the Brrethren, and he had a good and loving heart.

Harlan is survived by his two sisters: Shirley Krall, Cerro Gordo, IL and Diane (Joel) Weaver, Polo, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, brother: Donald; niece, and brother-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 21, 2026 in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rodney Caldwell officiating. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday August 21, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home.
