Glen L Orr

Glen L. Orr, 85, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025.  Glen was born on July 17, 1939 in St. Paul, MN the son of Philip & Alvina (Solberg) Orr.  He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1957.  Glen continued his education at Luther College in Decorah, IA, graduating in 1961 with a major in physics, and minor in chemistry.  He went on to graduate from Northwestern Dental School.  He married Shirley Moore on August 15, 1965 in Cambridge, IL. Glen went into the Army in 1967, moving his family to Okinawa Japan where he was stationed.  Glen was discharged from the Army as a CPT in 1969, returning to Mt. Morris to practice dentistry in Oregon, IL.  Glen got his pilot's license and became a flight instructor.  He also did hobby electronics and was a life master since August 1977 of the American Contract Bridge League.

Glen was a loving and caring, God-fearing servant of Christ Jesus.  He was a faithful and loyal friend.

Glen is survived by his sister: Diane Orr (Short) McDermott, Luling, LA; son: David Orr, LaCrosse, WI; daughter: Kathleen Orr, Oak Grove, KY; granddaughter: Krystal Cortez, Austin, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

Glen is preceded in death by his parents and wife.

There is a celebration of life being planned.

Burial was held in Oakwood Cemetery.
