Glen "Michael" Crumbaker

Glen "Michael" Crumbaker, age 66, of Mt. Morris died Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 in Dixon, IL. Michael was born May 22, 1946 in New Martinsville, West Virginia to John and Earlynn Crumbaker. Michael spent most of his life in Baltimore, MD. He was a civil engineer for the City of Baltimore and the State of Maryland. He supervised in the building of many road projects around Baltimore, including Maryland Interstate 83. Michael married Sherry Hurd on November 7th, 2003, and together moved to Mt. Morris. They enjoyed traveling and spending time together. Michael enjoyed listening to Gospel Music, especially Bill Gaither. He loved watching COPS and anything to do with Firefighting. Michael loved being surrounded by family and friends and telling stories. He dearly loved his Baltimore Girls, Linda, Cindy, Sharon and Kathy. Michael took pride in everyone else's accomplishments; he was a "gentle heart". Michael is survived by his wife Sherry Crumbaker, Children, son, Michael (Marie) Crumbaker, daughter, Bethany Joy Crumbaker, son, John Christian Crumbaker. Stepchildren, Seth (Adrienne) Stafford, Josh (Marylou) Stafford. 9 Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews, sister, Jane (George) Uterhardt, and puppy dog Jax. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, brother, Alan, and beloved "Snoopy". Services will be in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt Street, Mt. Morris, IL on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Frank Lay officiating. Visitation will be from1:00-2:00 P.M. till the service in the Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial to be established.
