George Robert Tabor Sr.

Oregon, IL, George Robert Tabor Sr., 81, passed away on June 21, 2026 in OSF St. Katherine Hospital, Dixon, IL. George was born on May 24, 1945 in Elkhorn, WV; the son of Woodrow Lewis & Dorcas Ann (Burchette) Tabor. He joined the United States Army in 1965, and he served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967 and retired as a SGT. George Married Kathleen Kvietkauskas on September 28, 1968 in Chicago, IL.

George worked for McLean Trucking from 1969 to 1985, in Bridgeview, IL, he owned and operated Rent-A-Hubby home building services from 1991-2003. Since 2003 he has been a 100% disabled Veteran.

George is survived by his wife: Kathleen Tabor, Oregon, IL; sons: George R. Tabor Jr., North Fort Meyers, FL, Vincent J (Heather M.) Tabor, North Fort Meyers, FL, Randal D (Mandy) Tabor, Rochelle, IL; 6 grandchildren: Jasmine Marie (Connor) Placko, Vincent, Zoey Marie, Sydney Katrina, Rylin Cole, and Tinley Jolie; sister-in-law: Carol Tabor; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Katrina Marie Tabor; brother: James Tabor; nephew: Woodrow Willis Tabor.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2026 9:30 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Burial will be held in St. Casimir, Chicago, IL at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be held on June 30, 2026 from 5:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, IL.
