He served in the National Guard Service from 1960-1966.
He was proudly employed by Kable News for 29 years - where he helped create the employee fund which helped families in need.
A man of many hobbies. He was a 2 two-time Club Champion at Sunset Hill County Club. He enjoyed playing cards, ping-pong, basketball, volleyball, and any league sport he could organize to play with his friends.
To know him was to know his laugh, which was always the loudest and most distinctive cackle in the room. You heard him before you saw him. He had the biggest personality and everyone has a few crazy Gary or “Crow” stories. He was a social butterfly, event organizer, and Pepper Mill regular. Caretaker for 26 years of his beloved Betsy.
He made you laugh, he made you shake your head, he made you his friend. Then he made himself a vodka and brown pop cocktail.
