Frances Kay "Bohnert" Duro

Mt. Morris, IL, Frances Kay " Bohnert" Duro, age 76, passed away on Thursday September 14, 2017 with her family at her side. Kay was born December 10, 1940 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Franz & Henny (Boysen) Bohnert. Kay graduated from Arlington High School, Arlington Heights, IL. She was an avid sportsman, but loved bowling, softball and writing poetry. Kay enjoyed watching the Bears, Cubs, Bulls and White Sox in the last couple of years. Kay was a dedicated mother, grandmother, always was there for her family, and never forgot milestones in her family's lives. Kay is survived by her children: Michael (Sally) Amtmann, Flemington, NJ; John Amtmann, Butte, MT; Lainie Duro, Austin, TX; grandchildren: Miles Eichholtz, Lukas Puckhaber, Aidan, Hannah, and Devin Amtmann, Monk and Cole Duro-Landry; Son-in-law: Jim Duke, Byron, IL. Kay is preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Kina Duke; sister: Isa Rothery. Memorial services will be held Tuesday September 19, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL, with Rev. Michael Hoffman officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials to be determined.
