Mt. Morris, IL, Everette Raymond Henderson, age 101, died Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Everette was born February 23, 1914 in Worden, WI the son of Orlando W. and Faith A. (Winkler) Henderson. Everette attended Lincoln School in Stanley, WI (1919-1925), Stanley Jr. High (1925-1927), Stanley High School (1927-1929), Rockford High School (1929), Mt. Morris High School (1929-1931), Mt. Morris College (1931-1932), and LaSalle University in Chicago (1935-1936). He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1931. Everette married Lovita Sisk on June 22, 1934 in Mt. Morris, IL; Lovita preceded him in death. Everette worked as a salesman for Foster Vanilla Products, a Field Rep and Salesman for LaSalle Extension University of Chicago, Realtor, Athletic Official, and Personnel Manager for Kable News Company retiring in 1986 at age 72. He is a member of Mt. Morris Church of the Brethren, registered Real Estate Broker (1964-1986), served on the "Search for Doctors" Committee for the University of IL College of Medicine, President of Mt. Morris Alumni Association (1985-1989), President of Community Chest of Mt. Morris, Last remaining Charter member and served as President of Sunset Golf Club, he was a golf guru of which he had many accomplishments, one was the longest hole in one in the United States for a short time, served on Ogle County Welfare Committee for 15 years, Brethren Church Sunday School Superintendent for 30 years, member of Mt. Morris Moose Club, member of Kiwanis for 15 years, member of Dixon Elks, member of Mt. Morris Sportsman Club (1940-1964), President of Blackhawk District Golf Course, President of Parent Teachers Association and President of Lincoln Highway Golf Association, and he was an avid bowler, loved to fish and hunt. Everette has resided in the Mt. Morris area since 1929. Everette is survived by two sons: Donald (Judy Ciaccio) Henderson of Rockford, IL; Gary (Melody) Henderson of Oregon, IL. Grandchildren: Eric Henderson, Rob (Jana) Henderson, Darcee (Jarrod) Skulavik, Dana Henderson (John Hill), and Todd (Amy) Henderson. Great Grandchildren: Harper and Bryson Skulavik, Angel and Bryan Enck. Numerous Step Grandchildren and Great Gandchildren Everette is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife: Lovita; two brothers; three sisters. Memorial services will be held Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren. Burial will be in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford, IL at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday July 1, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. in Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren. Memorials to Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home and/or Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren.
