Mt. Morris, IL, Everett R. Kested, age 100, died Thursday June 11, 2015 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Everett was born July 29, 1914 in Dixon, IL the son of Shelby & Etta (Underkoffler) Kested. He graduated from Dixon High School class of 1932. Everett married Ruth L Williams on August 11, 1938 in Dixon, IL; Ruth preceded him in death. Everett then married Margaret Hollinger on December 26, 1983, and Margaret preceded him in death. Everett served in the U. S. Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW Post 8739, Oregon, IL; American Legion Post 143, Mt. Morris, IL; Mt. Morris Moose Lodge #1551; and Sunset Golf Club, Mt. Morris, IL. Everett was an Account Representative for Kable Printing Company, Mt. Morris for 36 years retiring in 1978. Everett is survived by his Daughter: Judy Miller; Step-Son: Gary (Betsy) Hollinger; 2 Step-Daughters: Janet (Gary) Messer and Nancy (Gary) Junker. 3 Grandchildren: Paul (Susan) Miller; Spencer (Frances) Miller; and Courtney (Mark) Multer. 4 Great-Grandchildren: Dawson, Maya, Wilson, and Everhett Miller; and Finley. 6 Step-Grandchildren and 12 Step-Great-Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews. Everett is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife: Ruth; Wife: Margaret; Son in Law: David Miller; 3 Brothers: Harold, Charles, and Lavern; 4 Sisters: Eleanor, Evelyne, Donna, and Pauline. Memorial services will be held July 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Josh Ehrler officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Dixon, IL. Visitation will be July 20, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in Trinity Lutheran Church. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church.
