Mt. Morris, IL - Evelyn Mary Hollis-Pulver, 91, Mt. Morris, IL., died August 26, 2011 in her home. Born February 9, 1920 in Alstatten, Switzerland the daughter of Henry and Mary (Manser) Baebler. She moved to the United States at 18 months old. She married Paul Hollis on September 6, 1936 in Freeport, IL. He died December 28, 1984. She then married Werner Pulver on August 14, 1993 in Evansville, WI. He passed away April 8, 2001. For 83 years she lived and worked on the Baebler Homestead Dairy Farm near Brooklyn, WI. In 2003, she moved to Mt. Morris, IL. She attended the Mt. Morris Church of the Brethren. For 25 years she was a 4-H Club Leader of the Jolly Mixers, Brooklyn Township, WI; she was a member of the Brooklyn Township Election Board; she was an accomplished seamstress making wedding dresses and also making wedding cakes; she enjoyed quilting and was an active quilter throughout her life. She is survived by four children: Glen(Carol) Hollis, Rock Falls, IL; Sharon(William) Sutter, Spring Hill, FL; Sue Ann(Ross) Smith, Mineral Point, WI; Dale(Patty) Hollis, Mt. Morris, IL. Also survived by four step-sons: Terry(Nancy) Pulver, WI; Werner(Lana) Pulver Jr., Gary(Terri) Pulver., Richard(Joyce) Pulver all of Monroe, WI. Daughter-in-law Linda Hollis, Oregon, IL. 16 Grandchildren, 8 Step-Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, two husbands, and two sons; Alan Paul Hollis and Keith Richard Hollis. Memorial Service will be held at the Mt. Morris Church of the Brethren on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Virginia Haney officiating. Burial of the cremains will be 1:30 P.M. Thursday, September 8, 2011 in the Jug Prairie Cemetery, Brooklyn Township, WI. A celebration of Evelyn's life will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the Brooklyn Community Building, 102 North Rutland Avenue (coroner of WI Highway 92 and County MM), Brooklyn, WI. Memorials directed to the Ogle County Hospice. Celebration of Life: Thursday, September 8, 2011 2:30 P.M. Brooklyn Community Building Memorial Service: Wednesday, September 7, 2011 11:00 A.M. Mt.
