Ev Mcgee

Ev McGee, age 82, a resident of Land O' Lakes, WI since 1993, formerly of Mt. Morris, IL, died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI. She was born April 30, 1933 in Chana, IL to Merritt and Mabelle Dailey. Ev worked at Kable Printing in Mt. Morris for 30 years. She started visiting the Northwoods with her family in the 60's. She worked at Bents Camp Bait Shop in Land O' Lakes for 11 years. She loved to fish off the dock, spend time with family, friends and eventually her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for everyone. Ev was a member of the Land O' Lakes Ladies Auxiliary, Legion Auxiliary in Polo, IL and GCIU- Graphics Communication International Union. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Ev is survived by her husband of 64 years: Gene McGee of Land O' Lakes; daughters: Colleen (Roger) Miller of Mt. Morris, Peggy (Ken) Greenlee of Delavan, WI, Kelly (Greg) Gilmour of Mt. Morris; sons: Chuck (Nancy) McGee of Sayner, WI, Mike (Karyl) McGee of Sturgeon Lake, MN, Scott (Nancy) McGee of Marlborough, NH, Edgar (Crystal) McGee of Geneseo, IL; 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on June 20, 2015 at the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge in Mt. Morris, IL. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on June 20, 2015 at Plainview Cemetery in Mt. Morris. Memorials to Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI or the Land O' Lakes Ladies Auxiliary are appreciated by family.
