Elaine B Guyer

Oregon, IL, Elaine B. Guyer, age 78, passed away in her home on Saturday Morning April 26, 2025. Elaine was born on December 22, 1946 in Dixon, IL; the daughter of Jacob & Arlene (Giffrow) Jecklin.  She attended the Polo country school.  Elaine married Hale Guyer on June 24, 1989 in Oregon, IL.

Elaine worked as a legal secretary and later with the Byron Bank, and as a local realtor.  Prior to that she owned the Eatery in Polo.  She was loved by many during each of her careers.  She loved riding the motorcycle and traveling with her husband.

Elaine is survived by her husband: Hale Guyer; brother: Jim (Cathy) Jecklin, Dixon, IL; nephews and nieces: Jeff (Sandy) Shipman, Polo, IL, Tim (Diane) Shipman, Dixon, IL, and Kris (Steve Bardell), Rochelle, Il, Jake and Mitch Jecklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Scot DeWall; and her sister: Ruth.

Memorial services will be held on Friday May 2, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in All Saints Lutheran Church, Byron, IL; with Vicar Michelle Wandersee officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday May 2, 2025 from 10:00 A.M.  until service time in All Saints Lutheran Church, Byron, IL.
