Mt. Morris, IL - E. Jane Hiteman, age 91, died September 14, 2009 at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home. Jane was born September 23, 1917 the daughter of Fred & Ethel (Griswold) Deuth in Forreston, IL. She worked as a secretary at Forreston High School, Forreston State Bank, and at Watt Publishing, Mt. Morris, IL., for 30 years, retiring in 1983. Jane married William Ole Hiteman on October 12, 1945 in Forreston, IL. She moved to Mt. Morris in 1949, moving from Forreston. Many years Jane served as a Girl Scout Leader in Forreston and Mt. Morris; Member of the Dorcas Society of the Trinity Lutheran Church; Member of Sunset Golf Club of Mt. Morris. Jane enjoyed bridge, bowling, and traveling. She spent 14 winters in Tucson, AZ., and had many friends there. Jane graduated from Forreston High School, Forreston, IL., class of 1935. She was a graduate of Brown Business College, Freeport, IL. Jane is survived by her husband; William Ole Hiteman. One Brother; Gerald Deuth, Waterloo, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers: Forrest, Milton, Fredrick, and Paul Deuth. 1 sister; Ann Powers. Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris, IL. with Rev. Steven Erickson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Finch Funeral Home. Private family burial at White Oak Cemetery, Forreston, IL.
