DUSTIN MYERS

Dustin Myers, 52, of Mt. Morris, passed away peacefully at home on May 4, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on June 25, 1973, Dusty spent most of his life in Mt. Morris and will be remembered for his strong fighter spirit, his love of eagles, his eye for art, and his enjoyment of the outdoors, especially time spent with friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Avey, and her husband, Donald; and his mother, Donna Zuniga.

Dusty is survived by his father, Felix Zuniga; his brother, Dan Myers and wife Angela; their son, Nick Bartimus and wife Staci, along with their children, Hayden and Aubrey; his brother, Darin Zuniga and his children, Gannon, Kalvin, and Kalvin's daughter, Esme; and his sister, Stephanie Spencer and husband Bill, along with their children, Sophia and Sonny.

A memorial service will be held on May 17, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge. 

Dusty's memory will live on through his family, friends, and the artwork he created. Dusty was one of a kind, and his personality and kind heart will be deeply missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him.
