Mt. Morris, IL, Dorothy Lee Stahl, age 88, passed away peacefully with her children by her side in Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL.  Dorothy was born January 16, 1937 in Freeport, IL; the daughter of Clarence & Ruth (Williams) Kielsmeier.  Dorothy graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1955.  Dorothy married Harry M. Stahl on August 18, 1958 in Dixon, IL; and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2010.

Dorothy worked for Watt Publishing in Mt. Morris, IL, and once her children were born, she stayed home and raised her children. Once children were in school, she became the school cook for 22 years. She donated her time with the Mt. Morris Loaves & Fish, she was a charter member of the Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church, she like to play cards and dominos.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Dan Stahl, Forreston, IL; Ruth (Thad Rosquist) Cross, Mt. Morris, IL, and Rhonda (Mark Wolber) Bachman, Oregon, IL; 4 grandchildren: Danielle (Joe) Langan, Warren (Kelley) Stahl, Leah (Josh) Powell, and Shawna May Stahl; 6 great grandchildren: Reed, Claire, Samuel, Keegan, Delaney, and Ryland; sister: Carolyn Johnson, Lombard, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Harry; son: David Stahl; 3 brothers: Bruce, Ralph, and Melvin Kielsmeier; 2 sisters: Harriet Fletcher and Jane Dietrich.

Funeral service will be held on Friday May 30, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home 405 East Hitt Mt. Morris, IL, with Rev. Bruce McKanna officiating.  Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday May 30, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until service time.

A luncheon will follow the service, and be held in the Evangelical Free Church in Mt. Morris.
