Doris E Coil

Doris E. Coil, age 81, passed away peacefully in Generations at Neighbors, Byron, IL on Tuesday January 2, 2024.  Doris was born on November 15, 1942 in Oregon, IL; the second daughter of Floyd Edward & Hazel Mae Agnes (Wallace) Haynes.  She graduated from Oregon High School.  She married Leslie Earl Coil in April of 1969, and they remained lovingly together until his death in 1997. Doris then found love and friendship in Harold Miller until he passed away in 2021.  Doris was baptized in the Rock River and remained a member of the Oregon Church of God.

Doris worked at the Oregon Piano Factory, was a supervisor at MarPearl Industries in Oregon, and retired after years working with her sister Loretta at Professor Scoop subway and ice cream shop.

Doris is survived by her son: Dennis Charles Coil; stepson: Richard Coil; Stepdaughter: Nancy Coil; grandchildren: Alisha Coil, Jessica Gilbert, Kristy Richardson, and Jasmine Campbell; great grandchildren: Arianna and Alex Moore, Emma and Makayla Gilbert, Tegan Wright, Jordan and Samantha Campbell; brother: Randall Gene Haynes; and sister: Loretta June Hendrickson.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Leslie Coil; and brother: James Edward Haynes.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 7, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. in the Oregon Church of God, 860 W. Oregon Trail Road, Oregon, IL; with Pastor Michael Hoffman officiating.  A Visitation will be held on Sunday January 7, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. until service time in the Oregon Church of God.
