Mt. Morris, IL, Doris R. Blake, age 92, Loving wife, mother, grandma, GG, and woman of great faith was called home on August 24, 2015. Doris was born July 12, 1923 in Mt. Morris, IL the daughter of William & Eunice (Fulton) Pieper. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1941. Doris married Arnold (Beanie) Blake on June 29, 1946. Doris worked for Kable Printing Company, Mt. Morris, IL for 35 years. She served as church treasurer at First Christian Church for many years. Family was the core of her life. She will be lovingly missed by daughters, Diane Bollman, Seattle WA; Deborah (Gary) Ladwig, Rockford IL; Denise (Bill) Bear, Venice FL; Aneva Freeman, Seattle WA and Judy (Bert) Himes, Byron IL, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Martin, San Rafael CA. Doris is pre-deceased in death by her parents, husband: Beanie; three brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will be Thursday August 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Disciples United Methodist Church, Mt. Morris, IL. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be Thursday August 27, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Disciples United Methodist Church. Memorials to Hospice Care of America.
