Donald J Myers

Mt. Morris, IL, Donald J. Myers, age 97, passed away on Wednesday February 7, 2024 in Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL.  Don was born on February 25, 1926 in Mt. Morris Township, IL, the son of Samuel & Grace (Snyder) Myers.  He served in the United Sates Navy during WWII, and fought in the Pacific Theater on the USS Colorado, USS Antietam, and the USS Hancock.  Don married Ruby Myers in 1949 and she preceded him in death in 2011.

Don was a member of the Leaf River Lion’s Club, Mt. Morris Rifle Club, Leaf River VFW, and he was a scout master in Adeline, IL.

Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL.

There will be a private family graveside service.
