Donald E Long

Donald Long, age 90, long resident of Ogle County, IL passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2026 in Allure of Pinecrest, Mt. Morris, IL. Donald was born on March 4, 1936 the son of Eber & Martha Long. He graduated from the Polo School District class of 1955. He attended the Church of The Brethren, he worked on the family farm, Watt Publishing, Bishop Lane, the community pantry and garden, and at Camp Emmaus.

Donald is survived by his two sisters: Shirley Krall, Cerro Gordo, IL and Diane (Joel) Weaver, Polo, IL; brother: Harlan Long, Mt. Morris, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, niece, and brother in law.

A funeral service will be held on Monday March 9, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Burial will be in West Branch Cemetery, Polo, IL. A visitation will be held on Monday March 9, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home.
