Mt. Morris, IL; Donald E. "Ike" Beard, age 82, died May 2, 2012 in his Home. Donald was born May 7, 1929 in Mt. Morris, IL the son of Leon B. & Ethel (Johnson) Beard. He married Joan Bushman on August 25, 1967 in Oregon, IL. Donald worked at Kable Printing Company for 52 years as a Master Operator in Bindery retiring in 2001. He is a lifetime Mt. Morris area resident. Donald was a member of Mt. Morris Moose Lodge #1551 and the GCIU. Donald is survived by his wife: Joan Beard, Mt. Morris, IL; Sons: Eric (Jane) Beard, Roscoe, IL; Mark Beard, Rockton, IL; Kevin (Jeanette) Beard, Mt. Morris, IL; Daughter: Sheri Beard, Columbus, WI. Several Grandchildren and Great- Grandchildren. Brother: Ray (Vicki) Beard, Oregon, IL; Sisters: Lola Burchett, Rockford, IL; Darlene Beard, Mt. Morris, IL. He is preceded in death by Parents; 2 Brothers: Lou Beard and Len Ki Ki Beard; and 1 Sister: Loraine Benoche. Services will be Sunday May 6, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Roger Carlson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday May 6, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. till service time in the funeral home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon, IL. Memorials to Passages Hospice.
