Mt. Morris, IL, Donald E. Dusing, age 91, died May 2, 2014 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Don was born May 1, 1923 in Grand Detour, IL the son of Winfred & Lora (Wells) Dusing. Don graduated from Polo High School class of 1941. Don married Jean L. Dusing on September 26, 1944 in Mt. Morris, IL, and she preceded him in death on March 18, 2011. He worked as an estimator in Kable Printing Company for 33 years retiring in 1986. Don was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church which he served on the board, member of Mt. Morris Lions Club, and he was a Mason. Don is survived by his Son, Michael (Mary Jo) Dusing, Byron, IL; Daughter, Julie (David C.) Sweeney, Lena, IL. 8 Grandchildren: Kraig Sweeney, Lewistown, Montana; Michelle (Ken) Bechtold, Freeport, Illinois; Marci Loven, Stillman Valley, Illinois; Chad (Melissa) Sweeney, Friendship, Wisconsin; Dianna (Seth) Newton, Byron, Illinois; Danielle (Tchevy) Olson, Stacy, Minnesota; David (Cortnee) Dusing, Byron, Illinois; Matthew (Noel) Dusing, Mt. Morris, Illinois. 18 Great Grand Children. Don is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife: Jean, Brother: Albert, and Sisters: Edna Grossnickle and Marjorie Bomberger. Memorial services will be Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Josh Ehrler officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. till service time in Trinity Lutheran Church. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church and/or Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home.
