Dolores Stevens

Mt. Morris, IL, Dolores Stevens, age 95, passed away on Tuesday November 24, 2020 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home.  Dolores was born on September 16, 1925 in Potosi, WI the daughter of Fred & Kathryn (Ackerman) Thole.  Dolores married Wilbur Buschbom on April 15, 1942 in Cassville, WI and he preceded her in death in 1976.  Dolores married Wallace Stevens on June 27, 1987 in Mt. Morris, IL and he preceded her in death in 2000.

Dolores worked for Cassville school system and the Cassville High School secretary for many years.  She loved baking Christmas cookies, her dog “Dixie”, ice cream, watching the hummingbirds, Fox News, was always put together in color coordinated outfits, and spending time with family.

Dolores is survived by daughters: Luann (Edward) Barrett, Berwyn, PA; Patsy Ferkin, Kenosha, WI; Joyce Carroll, Nashville, TN; Bonita (Rick) Titus, Boulder City, NV; Char (Dennis) Topping, Birmingham, IA; Angie (Stan) Burke, Mt. Morris, IL; and Brenda (Jim) Sklavanitis, Mt. Morris, IL; grandchildren: Jim Carroll Jr., Nashville, TN; Julie Carroll, Nashville, TN; Bill (Maria) Barrett, West Chester, Pa; Jeffery Ferkin, Las Vegas, NV; David Ferkin, Kenosha, WI; Lou (Jaime) Finch, Mt. Morris, IL; Sam (Jacqui) Finch, DeKalb, IL; Sarah (Brian) Sipes, Sycamore, IL; Christy (Jeff) Kurtz, Libertyville, IA; Jennifer Heinze, Mt. Morris, IL; Tanya (Eric) Bocker, Leaf River, IL; Jared (Kara) Burke, Rochelle, IL; Jake (Jaclyn) Sklavanitis, Mt. Morris, IL; Brandon (Georgina Laub) Sklavanitis, Rockford, IL; Jasmine Sklavanitis, Mt. Morris, IL; Several Great Grandchildren.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, sister: Irma Hauk; husbands: Wilbur and Wallace.

Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL.

Memorial service will be held in the spring of 2021 in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL.
