It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Delores June Rowland, affectionately known as Dee, on March 26, 2026. Born on November 17, 1947, in Freeport, Illinois, Dee’s life was defined by love, resilience, and the joy of family and friendship.
Dee was the beloved daughter of George and Marion (Winche) Williams, who instilled in her values of compassion and strength. She grew up alongside her twin sister, Doris (Greg) Lading, her sister Jean (Carl) Stocker, and her brother Roger Williams.
Dee was a devoted mother to her two sons, Jeff (Laurie) Burke and Darren (Tammy) Burke, of whom she was immensely proud.
A graduate of Leaf River High School, class of 1965, Dee worked at Quebecor Printing in Mount Morris from 1979 until retiring in 2008. She began her career in binding and finishing and later transitioned to an office role, where she formed many lifelong friendships.
On November 7, 1997, Dee married Deane Rowland, welcoming stepchildren Christy (Andy) Egyed and Dale (Jen) Rowland into her family. Together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, including many cherished days on the golf course.
Dee’s passion for sewing, her talent for finding the perfect item while shopping, and her dedication to family gatherings were reflections of her vibrant spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jean, her brother Roger, and her husband Deane. While deeply missed, the family finds comfort in the thought of their reunion.
Dee’s legacy lives on through her children, stepchildren, many adored grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Known for her fiery red-haired personality, generosity, and love, Dee touched the lives of all who knew her and cherished her friendships deeply.
A celebration of Dee’s life will be held on April 1, 2026, at 11:00 A. M. in Finch Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on April 1, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home. Following the service there will be a luncheon held in the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunset Golf Course or Serenity Hospice.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who shared in Dee’s journey and offers this message: “Dee was so loved by her family and many friends and will be missed, until we meet again.”
