Dean D Schroder

Dean D Schroder, 58 of Oregon died Friday November 1, 2024 at Serenity Home in Oregon following an acute illness.

He was born October 21, 1966 in Rockford, the son of Donald and Mae (Bell) Schroder.

Dean spent many years working as a farmer where he was the happiest.  He also worked at Quality Metal Finishing in Byron and most recently at Ace in Oregon.

He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time hunting, fishing and doing landscaping jobs.  Dean loved sports especially football and coached Jr Tackle football in Oregon in the 2010’s.

Dean is survived by his son Austin Schroder of Milwaukee, sisters, Deb (David) Osbaugh, Pecatonica, IL, Donna (Brian) Ostrihonsky, Adeline, IL, Dory (Weston) Wellington, Freeport, IL, and Brenda (Dave) Shelton, Cedarville IL, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Robert "Bob" and Dennis Meinheit.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 16, 2024 at 1:00 P.M.  in Beltline Cafe & Catering, 325 West South Street, Freeport, IL  61032.
